 Inji Poondu Chicken Varuval / Chicken Chukka Varuval is a south Indian spicy chicken roast.  It is a very easy simple recipe as it needs no marination and no coconut. This is not a gravy recipe, is a semi dry with masala coated on chicken pieces. This authentic dish is known world wide for the spicy masala blended well with the chicken and its rich aroma. By following this authentic recipe you can make tasty, super, spicy and flavorful chicken chukka. It pairs up perfect with parathas, roti, dosa and rice.I would love to have it with Sambhar rice.

Recipe :

Ingredients :

Chicken, Turmeric powder,Salt, Masala powder , Oil, Ginger, Garlic,Cinnamon stick,Cloves


 To Make Masala Powder : Grind dried chilli 5 to 6 nos, Coriander seeds 1tbsp,fennel seeds 1tbsp, Turmeric 1/2 tsp


Instruction :

 
1) Make a paste of ginger,garlic,colves ,cinnamon stick in blender
2) Marinate the chicken peices with paste of turmeric powder 1/2 tsp, salt as per taste,Masala powder, ginger/garlic/spices past.



 

3)Add oil to the pan after heats up add above mixture and mix well for 5mins





4)Add sufficient water for the chicken to be cooked and close the pan to let the chicken cook








 

5) After chicken is cooked,start to fry till the masala clings to chicken




6) Your ginger & galrlic chicken varuval is ready . Enjoy its taste
