Chicken Biryani Muslim Style | முஸ்லீம் பாணி கோழி பிரியாணி

We all know Muslims prepare one of the delcious biryani . The recipe for preparing biryani is known but the intricate know how how to make a perfect biryani is not widely known as these know hows are never share.
For this post I asked my sister-in-law to prepare this biryani. The recipe was given to her by her Muslim friend.
This biryani is made of Delicate long grains of Basmati rice gently cooked with fragrant whole spices, layered with a deliciously spicy chicken gravy thats bursting with the flavours of  powdered spices, ginger-garlic, tomatoes and yogurt. Heightened by the flavours of saffron infused milk, golden fried onions, , fresh coriander, mint leaves, citrusy lemon  and powdered garam masala/biryani masala

Recipe :

Ingredients :

Chicken,Sunflower oil, basmathi rice, Cinnamon stick ,biryani or bay leafs , cloves, 8 to 9 Onions Chopped, Ginger & Garlic paste 8 to 9 Tomato chopped, one bunch mint leaves, green chili 5pcs, Red chilli powder 4 to 6 tsp, garam masala 3 to 4 tsp, coriander leaves, Curd 3 to 5 tbsp, ghee, lemon (for taste optional),salt (as per taste),food coloring (optional),turmeric 1 tsp

Instructions :

First boil basmathi rice , once its boiled 3/4 boiled dry out the water from rice and put aside , let it cool down then mix 2 spoon of ghee to it and keep it aside




 









Heat the vessel, add sunflower oil. After oil heats up add cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, cloves. Then add chopped onions mix well once then add ginger & garlic paste to it mix well again with turmeric powder 1tsp with salt and mix again. 












After mixing it for 5 to 10 mins add Chicken now continue mixing another 5 to 10 mins. 

 











Now add green chilli,mint leaves one portion,red chilli powder 4tsp (can add more if you like it more spicier),Garam masala 3tsp and mix again another 2 to 3 mins. Then add chopped tomatoes,mint leaves another portion (second time) with Curd 3 tbsp. Mix well all for another 5mins.


After 5 mins add 3/4th boiled cooled down basmathi rice and food coloring on top (optional). Close the vessel with plate, let it cook for 10mins



 










 After 10 mins you can switch off the stove and Mix all the Ingredients well. 













A tasty muslim style briyani is now ready. It will taste well with raitha and boiled egg. Enjoy it!
