Eeral milagu varuval / Mutton Liver pepper fry / liver varattiyathu is a delicious, spicy dry preparation which is treat for organ lover. It is excellent source of protein and rich in Iron & Vitamin A. Though it has many nutritional benefits, moderation is advised due to its high cholesterol content. It is very good for young children, pregnant ladies and for lactating young moms.

This liver fry goes well with rice or with parotta, roti , chappathi

Ingredients:

Mutton liver – 250gm

Big onion – 1

Tomato – 1

Ginger & Garlic paste 1tbsp

Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

Pepper powder - 3 tsp

Salt - to taste

Curry leaves – 5 to 8 pcs



Methods:

Chop the liver into pieces and clean it well with water and keep aside.













Heat oil in a kadai, add finely chopped onions with ginger garlic paste,Sauté till it becomes translucent

 












 Now add chopped tomatoes, curry leaves and sauté well till the raw smell goes off

 














Add chopped liver and mix well for 5 mins

 












Add Turmeric powder, Pepper powder, salt and water just to immerse, mix well

 











Close the pan with a lid and cook in medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes.
Once the liver is cooked and the mixture becomes thick in consistency remove the lid and sauté well till the it becomes dry (or if you it as curry can use it as of now itself)


 










Tasty Spicy mutton liver fry is ready, serve it hot with rice,chappathi or parotta
